In a remarkable law enforcement achievement, authorities arrested 38 individuals, including eight Bahamian nationals, during a crackdown on a significant human and drug smuggling network off Florida's coast. On August 30, surveillance led to the identification of three boats leaving the Bahamas. While two vessels complied with authorities, a third attempted to evade capture, but U.S. Customs and Border Protection Air Marine Operations effectively disabled it, preventing any escape.
