Shincheonji Bible Exam: A Monumental Moment in Tanzanian Faith

On August 18, the Shincheonji Church of Jesus made waves in the Tanzanian religious landscape by conducting an "Open Revelation Bible Exam"—a first of its kind in the country featuring over a hundred local pastors alongside church members. Hosted in major cities like Dar es Salaam, the event drew 98 local Protestant pastors and 40 Shincheonji members, creating a unique opportunity for dialogue about faith, scripture, and spiritual insights.

The exam, which included 10 main questions and 33 sub-questions focused on the Book of Revelation, wasn't simply about testing biblical knowledge. Since its inception in 2018, the Shincheonji Tanzania Church has blossomed, boasting over 2,440 members as of August 2025.
